May I offer this reminder to friends working on 2021 planning?
The most important part of a plan isn't the financial or functional formula of deals, dollars, ads, leads or margins. All are necessary, it's true, but none are sufficient on their own.
Rather, spend plenty of time envisioning how you will best use the secret ingredient for achieving your intentions and reaching your goals:
YOU!
Ask yourself where YOU want to go before you choose what path to get there.
Get clear on the kind of work do YOU love to do before you commit yourself to certain kinds of actions.
Call to mind the people YOU love to work with - so you can attract more of them - to make the work productive AND enjoyable.
Give yourself permission to imagine the life you deserve - so the end of each day is as great as its start.
Yes: Making money is easy.
Yet: Doing YOUr work is the real challenge.
When you start with YOU at the center of the plan - isn't that really the point? - I have found that the market, the options, the possibilities and the horizon easily align themselves in ways you might not have believed possible before.
