What’s happening in the news is not the same as what’s happening to YOU!

This time of the year is a wonderful reminder that there’s a big difference between reality and the “meta verse” we already have online. On one hand, you have the media whining about everything it can present in an extreme fashion - inflation, politics, lost luggage and chilly weather. If you’d never seen the internet before, you’d think we live in the most dangerous, damned and despairing times.

On the other hand, there are the little notes of gratitude and achievement from the real people you directly know. Their recognition as leaders in their fields, their celebration of goals set and met, their encouragement for trying new things and being bold, their optimism for the opportunities of the new year beyond.

All that remains is for you to choose:

Will you accept a narrative where everything is broken and wrong?
Will you accept the signs that things are far better than ever?

We don’t have to be perfect,
To be just fine here today.
We don’t have to exaggerate,
More problems than we have.
We won’t have the ability,
To grow if our premise is fear.
Or even work on these challenges,

That are certainly real.

Once you become convinced something is true - that the world is broken or wonderful - you will find what you seek. So be sure to look carefully: there’s more Good out there than you think!
