Our Philosophy
For starters, just the fact that we have a philosophy makes us different than most companies in the real estate industry. We actually have a vision about what it means to create organizations that maximize the strengths of their individuals - to unlock their potential - and perform at the highest levels. And this vision has been carefully refined over twenty years of working with companies great and small in every corner of the real estate world.
Our philosophy is simple: It’s time for real estate to evolve. We think of it like the “Industrial Revolution” for the real estate industry. If you’re wondering why so much of what we have “always done” doesn’t quite work so well any more, well, we have the answer: It’s a whole new era. And that means you need a whole new strategy.

Not just new tactics. Not slick tips or cute gimmicks.

No silver bullets for “better” recruiting or marketing or internet fixes. It’s time to do it entirely differently. Redesign the entire process from the ground up.

At the heart of our philosophy is a simple concept: Most everything we do in real estate is backwards today. We recruit people who have never held sales jobs before. We expect people with no marketing background to advertise property. We spend millions of dollars trying to teach sales skills to people who “hate being called a salesman!” Most managers never went to management school. And our educational classes are geared around “butt time” in a classroom in order to get “CE” credit - not develop vital skills. And lest we forget the technology question: More than 75% of the industry still hasn’t bought a Blackberry. Need we say more?

It’s all backwards. And it has to change. Not because of a boom-bust cycle. Not because of the “competition,” either. It has to change because - simply put - we can’t really make any money this way. And making money is good. It pays the bills. Sends the kids to school. And it’s what you’re supposed to be doing in business, right?

New times require new leadership. So our philosophy isn’t “simple” but it’s certainly “about time.” And we admit - it’s not for everyone. If you want to just “feel good” about some training or slap up a new website, you’re probably one of the people who gets “mad” during our seminars. If you read our blog and get “insulted” then you’ll probably be better off reading some real estate classifieds in the newspaper.
